2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Repair Manual
Mitsubishi. Select Make. The Mitsubishi Eclipse had been in production for over two decades, starting in 1989. Many drivers and experts recognize this vehicle as the Japanese pony car, which is a really high praise, considering the pony cars’ iconic status and high standards of performance. And the Eclipse delivers on all of these points, making it feel at home among the American road legends.
It is not all that surprising: developed in a close collaboration with the Chrysler Corporation, the Eclipse is considered to have been created specifically for the United States market. Throughout the four generations, it had been constantly evolving, including more and more new technologies and features, while preserving the characteristics that made it popular – its unmatched performance, sleek style, reliability, and reasonable price. CARiD is your one stop shop for premium replacement parts. The Mitsubishi Eclipse replacement parts we have in stock were made by the most trustworthy and well-known manufacturers on the market. Engineered to fit perfectly, perform reliably, and last for a long time, the parts we offer are exactly what your car needs. And considering their affordable prices, they will fit your budget. I was very glad that it actually fit.
The 1998 and 1999 Eclipses have a different cat from the other years. It is hard to find since it is curved. This cat actually did fit direct fit as advertised. It did need to be bent a little as it was touching my oil pan, and the O2 sensor and bolt tab were on the wrong side, but it all still worked well enough.
My car was able to pass emissions, and it seems to be functioning well. I am interested to see how long it will last.

But for now, I am just happy that it actually fits. I tried multiple places and had to send back parts that were not as described that did not fit. I want to thank you for the quick action on my behalf in filling my order including the shipping. The order I received was for an automatic transmission, however, it was for a 2.4L engine and would not fit my 3.8L engine. I think this was probably due to my fault as when I looked at your display I could not see the mount completely to ascertain whether it required three or four bolts to attach. To preclude this from other orders I recommend that the present and future displays of part be photographed from the side versus the front, his will enable the buyer to see the part in its entirety.
